what a year the first quarter of 2020 has been. and it's not yet over!
at least in a couple of days it will be.
it's just so hilarious to think that all the things that happened in january made the month feel like a year. doubly hilarious to think that from the time the virus earned a mention in this blog, people were just so relaxed and the concern was up for about 10% when it comes to wearing masks and washing hands. everyone thought that once it's february, everything would be a-ok. well. the second month served as an interlude but i don't think it prepared the world for what came in early march.
so noooo. the first quarter of 2020 ain't over yet! ha!
i don't want to think about what april will bring this time. and i don't want to get started on this coronavirus issue as i've lots to say about it. besides, this is a sunday currently post and i don't want to mar this post further with news i'd rather hear or read about just once in a day. guess i just needed to let some steam out because puh-leeze.
so yep. here we go with the currents!
Currently...
reading: nothing!!! and i'm supposed to be able to read something because there's practically nothing to do! but no!
writing: nothing as well! boo!
listening: nothing!!!!! i am so loving the extended holy week-like silence. my inner circle and anyone who has
thinking: of the things i could do during this home quarantine. maybe i'd be able to continue reading the retelling of emma by alexander mccall smith. and finish that little one-shot fanfic i started last year...
smelling: nothing except for a whiff of strong daing na bangus marinade coming from the other house from time to time. why it's that strong i have no idea. but it smells yummy. i could smell the garlicky-peppery tang of it.
wishing: that i'll get the opportunity to move to a place where there's fresh air and lovely, glorious silence. because this lockdown will not last forever. the other wish i mentioned in my previous sunday currently? won't be happening anytime soon. i've already accepted it.
wearing: sleep wear because oh, it's bedtime. duhhh but no i can sleep by my usual bedtime... way past midnight. couldn't do that if i had to go out for work!
loving: i would like to say 'peace' because in a way, yes it's peaceful in the metro since the second week. it's quiet, i don't have to battle the masses for a seat in the bus; the air and haze that blanketed the metro have cleared out, the sky has become more brilliant day and night, i could hear more birdsong than ever, and i love the sound of the wind rushing through the leaves. i am also working from home again which i also like, but this one's not new to me since i've done this before. so in this sense, yes i am loving this part of the lockdown. the fear and anxiety part of it... heck, no. absolutely not.
wanting: more silence.
needing: see above.
feeling: pulled in so many directions but still ok on the whole.
